Luxury Real Estate Advisor Luis Gonell of Engel & Völkers Miami continues to prove his expertise by closing record-breaking deals for buyers and sellers alike. Over the past seven months, Gonell closed two record-breaking transactions in The Residences at W South Beach, another in 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach, and several other notable deals with price points ranging from $5.6M-$10.2M.

In June 2017, Gonell set the record for the highest price per square foot in Miami-Dade when he navigated the purchase of UPH 5 in The Residences at W South Beach for $3,502 psf, as well as the highest price to date at The Residences at W South Beach for $10.2 M. Gonell represented recording artist and philanthropist, Ivan Wilzig, professionally known as Sir Ivan.

Just eight months later, Gonell has also closed UPH 2 for $8,700,000, ranking it the third highest sale in terms of psf in Miami-Dade from January 2017 - today at $3,289 psf. In his most recent transaction, Gonell negotiated the successful purchase of PH 1617 in the ultra-luxury 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach for $5.6M on behalf of his client, who wished to remain anonymous.

“Miami Beach’s ultra-luxury segment has been experiencing a flat market, however, I expect to see an increase in sales activity from my team this year,” said Gonell. “This is the time when clients need a professional real estate advisor who is able to close during any market condition and is backed by a broker like Engel & Völkers, with strong global exposure that targets high net worth buyers and sellers.”

Due in part to his recent success, Gonell was invited to join the exclusive network of top brokers at Haute Residence as a partner representing the high-end real estate market in Key Biscayne, Miami. The invitation-only luxury real estate network, partners with just one agent in every market.

"We are thrilled to congratulate Luis on accomplishing these record-breaking deals," said Irving Padron, President and Managing Broker of Engel & Völkers Miami. "Capitalizing on our successful 2017, the start of 2018 has propelled us into what I'm positive will be an equally great year.”
